March 2025 - House of Lords Lunch

In March, the Group hosted an exclusive lunch at the House of Lords, kindly sponsored by Baroness Evans. We were honoured to hear from the High Commissioner for Namibia, Her Excellency Linda Scott, together with senior colleagues. It was a privilege to also be joined by Sir Gavin Williamson MP and Adam Jogee MP.

Namibia continues to be one of Africa’s more dynamic markets for UK engagement, with growing opportunities in renewable energy, natural resources, and agri-business. The High Commissioner spoke of Namibia’s ambitious plans and the importance of building stronger trade and investment links with the United Kingdom, underpinned by shared values and long-standing ties. The event sparked lively discussion on how members of the Group can play a role in deepening commercial and political partnerships with Namibia.
