July 2026 - House of Commons Lunch with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)

In July, the Westminster Africa Business Group was delighted to welcome members and guests to another successful and oversubscribed WABG Lunch at the House of Commons.

Our sincere thanks to Rt. Hon. Sir Gavin Williamson CBE MP, John Humphrey, former His Majesty's Trade Commissioner for Africa (2022–2026), and H.E. Ndolamb Ngokwey, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Kingdom, for sharing their valuable insights on UK–Africa trade, investment and the significant opportunities emerging across the continent, with particular focus on the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The discussion highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships between government and business, encouraging investment, and fostering long-term commercial relationships that deliver mutual benefit.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to a thoughtful and engaging afternoon of drinks on the terrace, followed by lunch. For many members, the afternoon continued into the evening with further drinks and networking at a local venue in Westminster.
